MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University men's basketball team hosts Columbus State University Tuesday at 7 p.m. for the squad's regular season home opener at the ASU Acadome.
The game marks the Hornets lone home appearance of their first eight games. ASU (0-2) looks to get on the winning track after dropping a pair of tough road losses at Ole Miss and Belmont last week.
Columbus State is 1-0 this season following an opening night win at West Florida on Nov. 16. The Hornets and Cougars will be meeting for the first time on the hardwood Tuesday night.
Sophomore
Tramaine Butler and senior
Menji Mundadi lead the team on offense with both players averaging 8.0 points a game. Sophomore
Ivory White is the Hornets top rebounder thus far at 8.5 rebounds per contest.
Following Tuesday's tilt, Alabama State returns to the road for its next five games including a three-game road trip next week beginning at Tulane on Nov. 30. The road swing also includes stops at DePaul (Dec. 2) and Evansville (Dec. 4).
Tickets for all ASU home games can be purchased at the Acadome ticket office.
