MONTGOMERY,
Ala. – Alabama State University will commemorate the end of spring football practice with its annual Black and Gold Week. The week kicks off Monday, April 12, with the Mix and Mingle Ice Cream Social and the Coaches vs. Players basketball game. The celebration concludes Saturday, April 17, with the annual Hornet Fest (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) and Black and Gold football game at 2 p.m. at Hornet Stadium.
Hornet Fest will feature food, games and fun for the entire family. There will also be special appearances made by the Mighty Marching Hornets and the ASU cheerleaders.
Black and Gold Week includes the following events:
Monday - April 12
11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Ice Cream Social (In front of Fred Shuttlesworth Dining Hall)

6 p.m. Basketball Game -- Senior Football Players vs. ASU Coaches (Lockhart Gym)
