SHREVEPORT, La. – Alabama State University junior baseball standout Ron James was named to the 2010 Southwestern Athletic Conference baseball all-tournament team announced at the conclusion of the championship event.
James, a 6-1, third baseman/pitcher from Lithonia, Ga., helped lead the Hornets to the semifinal round of the tournament going 4-for-8 at the plate with three RBI and three runs scored. He also pitched 0.2 innings of scoreless relief in ASU's upset of Texas Southern in the opening round. For the season, James batted .281 with 28 runs and 41 hits.
The SWAC All-Tournament team was voted on by the participating head coaches and media attending the event.
