ASU Athletics Host Fan/Media Day

MONTGOMERY—The Alabama State University athletics department hosted the 2010 Fan/Media Day on Saturday with over 500 people in attendance.

Those that arrived early were able to watch the famous Mighty Marching Hornets start the ceremony marching into Hornets Stadium with both fans and student-athletes on either side of the track during their march into the stands.

There were plenty of pictures being taken as fall teams from soccer, cross country, bowling and football were all in attendance at the event.

The fans were greeted by ASU Athletic Director Stacy Danley, who then turned the mike over to head coaches, Jodie Smith (soccer), Andrew Chatmon (bowling), Ritchie Beene (cross country) and Reggie Barlow (football).

Free food and drinks were available as well as an autograph session featuring members of the ASU football team. The kids were able to enjoy themselves on a playground while The Mighty Marching Hornets and DJ Lucas provided musical entertainment.
