Hornet Nation - you've done it again.  QB Greg Jenkins has been voted HSRN.com's National Player of the Week.

Jenkins completed 17 of 34 passes for  297 yards and three touchdowns and rushed 17 times for 59 yards and another TD in Alabama State's 31-23 win over Alcorn State.

This is the fourth time in five weeks that an Alabama State player has won the award.  In Div. I FCS voting Jenkins won with 1,018 votes, QB Greg McGhee (Howard) finished with 246, QB Michael German (Tennessee St.) finished with 244 votes, and WR LaQuinton Evans (Southern) 12.
