MONTGOMERY — Free safety Kejuan Riley has been named first-team Preseason All-American by the Sports Network.
The junior from Wetumpka, Ala. ranked second in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and tied for second in the nation with seven interceptions in 2010. He was a first-team All-SWAC selection last season and earned first-team preseason all-conference honors this past Tuesday.
“We are all proud of Kejuan,” ASU head football coach Reggie Barlow said. “When we signed him, we thought he'd be this type of player. He's not content with just being named Preseason All-American. He wants to be All-American at seasons end. He's been working hard and we expect him to have a great year.”
It is the second All-America team Riley has been named to this week. Riley was named a second-team Preseason All-American by Phil Steele Publications.
