Alabama State University will host a Block Party Friday night to officially begin the countdown to the New Hornets Football Stadium, the Hornet football team will play its home opener this week, the women's and men's golf teams will host the ASU Fall Classic at Lagoon Park, and the Lady Hornets' soccer team will play at home this week. The cross country and volleyball teams will continue their seasons with competitions this week. 

CROSS COUNTRY: The women's and men's cross country teams will compete Saturday in the Azalea City Classic in Mobile. 

FOOTBALL: On Friday, the ASU Stadium Countdown Party will officially start the countdown to New Hornets Stadium. Saturday, the Hornets will face Grambling State at Cramton Bowl. 

GOLF: The women's and men's golf teams will host the ASU Fall Classic Monday and Tuesday at Lagoon Park. 

SOCCER: The Lady Hornets will host Faulkner Thursday before traveling to play Mercer Sunday. 

VOLLEYBALL:  ASU will play at Clark-Atlanta Tuesday, in the Mississippi Valley State Tournament Friday and Saturday, and open SWAC play at MVSU Sunday.
