MONTGOMERY, Ala.—Alabama State's Brandon Coombs and Tia Rolle have been named the Southwestern Athletic conference Indoor Runners of the Week, announced by the conference office.
 
Rolle qualified for the 55m dash with a time of 7.07 last weekend at the Ed Temple Classic hosted by Tennessee State University.  She then lowered her time to 6.98 in the finals to cross the finish line in first place.
 
Coombs ran two events for the Hornets and finished third in the 800m run with a time of 1:56.60.  He also ran the 1 mile event and finished fourth with a time of 4:41.65.
