Alabama State University senior kicker Bobby Wenzig was the top vote-getter in this week's Heritage Sports Radio Network Fan Poll.

Wenzig played a major role in ASU's win over Mississippi Valley State last weekend. He punted seven times averaging 45.7 yards per punt. Two of his punts were downed inside the 20 yard line and two others were returned for minus two yards.

He also hit both of his field goals adding six points to ASU's total. He kicked a 31 yard field goal and another from 46 yards out, which was his season-long.

This is Wenzig's third selection as an HSRN Fan Poll Specialist of the week, but his first time as the top vote-getter.

The HSRN Fan Poll has been conducted online each week at HSRN.com. It is voted on by HSRN fans around the nation and is composed of Players of the Week from four HBCU conferences and HBCU independent teams. The final winners fall in the categories of offense, defense, specialist and newcomer of the week.
