Hornets Know How Good Stillman Is

Monday's practice has the Hornets preparing for Stillman
It was a cool practice for the Alabama State Hornets during today's practice as they continue their preparations for Stillman, and with only three days left until the 90th Turkey Day Classic the Hornets know they will be facing a talented team from Stillman.

Stillman will come into Montgomery boasting a strong offensive team that is very well rounded. They are averaging over four yards per rush and have throw for over 2,600 yards. It is an offense the coaching staff knows is very talented.

"Offensively they have some really good wide receivers that are explosive guys," Head Coach Reggie Barlow said. "They have two really shifty running backs that are very small, but they are elusive and quick. So we have our work cut out for us with their offense."

The Tigers defense is very good as well. They are only giving up 18 points per game and have two shutouts this season and have another game where they only gave up six points.

"We know what style of defense they like to run," Barlow said. "They will be aggressive and will bring pressure and they do have some guys that can rush the passer off the end. I think their secondary is a nice and athletic group of guys."

The Turkey Day Classic is set to kick off at 3 p.m. Thursday Nov. 28. The game will be shown live on ESPNU and can also be listened to live on WVAS FM 90.7 beginning at 2:45 p.m. with the pregame show.
