MONTGOMERY, Ala.—Alabama State University has named Danielle Walker and Saeed Lee as the Student Athletes of the Month.
 
Walker, a member of the Lady Hornets bowling team, is a Computer Science major and boasts a 3.533 grade point average.  She was the 2012 Southwestern Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and averaged 176.2 on the lanes this season, even though she was injured for the most of the season.
 
Lee is a member of the Hornets football team and is a Collaborative Education major, where he has achieved a 3.466 grade point average.  He interned at Hapeville Charter School in Fulton County, Ga.

Following the season Lee played in the Raycom College Football Classic and received an invitation to play in the 2013 Florida Bowl.  He competed his senior season with 34 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and four passes defended to go along with a fumble recovery.
