ASU Graduates 33 Student Athletes

Alabama State University graduated 33 student athletes as part of their 2013 Spring commencement Saturday morning at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
 
The graduating class represents student athletes from the following sports: men & women's track and field, women's basketball, men's tennis, women's soccer, volleyball, football and baseball.
 
Out of the 33 graduates 20 were honor students. Athletics had three students to graduate Summa Cum Laude (students who have a 3.75-4.0 GPA) and  they were Ana Pego, (volleyball), Alexis Raphael Pierre, IV and Franka Schauss.
 
The following athletes graduated Magna Cum Laude (students who have a 3.50 -3.74 GPA): Amanada Gracia (softball), (who did not walk today due to participating in the 2013 SWAC Softball Tournament), Lenna Lamas (Women's Soccer), Shawndraka Robinson (women's track and field).
 
The largest of the honors class was in the Cum Laude category (students who have a 3.00 – 3.49 GPA):  TyRisha Chambers (women's track & field),  Kynjee Cotton (Football), Drequay Everett, (Football), Ronald Frost, Jr. (Baseball), Raven Hicks (Women's Basketball), Dominique Humphrey (Women's Soccer), Saeed Lee (Football), LeEra Lewis (Women's Basketball), Akeem Moore (Football), Brittnei Price (Softball), Price did not get a chance to walk the stage today due the participating in the 2013 SWAC Softball Tournament, Tia Rolle (Women's Track and Field), and Winton Steward (Football).
 
In addition to the honor students the following student athletes walked: Jordan Mims (Baseball), Shawn Lockhart (Men's Track and Field), Ulysses Cohen, II (Football), Michele Dick (Softball), who is also participating in the 2013 SWAC Softball Championship game.  Tiffany Dillard (Volleyball), Joshua Mason (Men's Basketball), Quantavious Lockhart (Men's Track and Field), Menji Mundadi (Men's Basketball), Daryll Overton (Football), Lee Thrasher (Men's Track & Field), RoTasha Windom (Women's Basketball), Tylisa Hendrix (Volleyball), Folasuyi Richardson (Women's Track & Field), Paris Thompson ( Women's Track and Field), and Lloyd Kelly (Baseball).
