"Overall I think we did ok," Head Coach
Ritchie Beene said. "There were some areas where I wanted us to do a little bit better. I think where we needed to work at was running the hills and they did that. I really liked the way everybody finished. They all got off to good starts, finished strong and sprinted it out and that is what they were supposed to do."
This was the toughest course the ASU teams had run all season, having two major hills to contend with on multiple times during the run. It was the test Coach Beene was looking for.
"The hills really took a lot out of us," Beene said. "They are steep and long, but I thought we were able to accomplish what we came here to do and we got some great experience running hills."
"We know what some of the key things we really need to focus on as we prepare for the SWAC," Beene said. "First of all, we need to get everyone healthy and we need to continue to work on improving our finishing and the middle part of the race. If we can take care of those areas we should be alright."
