Alabama State golfer Ian Mmbando finished third in the Alberta, Canada Junior Boys Championship Tournament.

Mmbando posted three under-par rounds in the 72-hole event, including an opening round 68 and closing round 69 in shooting 7-under-par 281 to finish three shots off the lead.

The Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada native recently completed his freshman year at Alabama State, earning second-team All-SWAC honors in helping the Hornets win their second straight SWAC title and second consectutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
