Waldyvan Estrada has been named to the Valley Baseball League All-Star team.

Estrada (5-11, 195, SO, Loiza, PR) is hitting .320 for the Charles Town (W. Va.) Cannons, leading the league in doubles (nine) and ranking fourth in RBI (19). Estrada is third in hitting for the Cannons, who are in second place in the North Division.

As a sophomore for the Hornets in 2013, Estrada was named to the ABCA Second team after earning second-team All-SWAC honors and twice being named SWAC Player of the Week. Estrada finished the season batting .333 with seven home runs and 51 RBI. He finished the season tied for fifth in batting average, third in home runs, first in RBI, and sixth in both slugging percentage (.466) and on-base percentage (.417), and tied for second in total bases (95).

Alabama State finished with its best season in school history in 2013, winning a record 32 games and advancing to the SWAC Tournament semifinals for the first time.
