MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University student-athletes received financial literacy on Sunday night at the Buskey Auditorium as part of the Student-Athlete Speaker Series.

Sponsored by Region's Bank, Eric Smith of the EKS Group was the guest speaker.

Smith is a financial literacy coach and has a passion to increase the financial literacy of college students to create fun, memorable learning experiences. He has taught tens of thousands of college students the simple truth of what it takes to become a financial winner. Among working with collegiate students, Smith has also serves as a resource for the rookie camps of many NFL teams, as well as many of the NBA D-League teams. On Sunday, ASU student-athletes learned the value of savings, planning, budgeting, debt and giving.
