Final Stats
Freda Freeman-Jackson knew her young Lady Hornets faced a daunting task when they faced Southeastern Conference member Florida in the Gator's State Farm Classic. Unfortunately for ASU, she turned out to be absolutely correct.
The Gators raced out a 23-1 lead and never looked back as they beat ASU 99-39.
The stingy Florida defense held ASU to only 20% shooting for the game, and did not allow any Lady Hornet to reach double digits in scoring. The Gators defense ignited their fast break offense as they scored 38 points off ASU's 24 turnovers.
For the Lady Hornets, Capri Taylor finished with eight points. L'Teisha Holloway and Airel Anderson each added seven points.
Jenniefer Mossor, one of six Gators in double figures, scored a team-high 13 points. Depree Bowden, Kim Critton and Sharielle Smith added 12 points each.
The Lady Hornets trip south doesn't get any easier as they will face North Carolina State on Friday. Tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
