ESPNU returns to the Acadome for Monday's Hoop Doubleheader
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University men's and women's basketball teams close the first half of their Southwestern Athletic Conference schedules Monday against Prairie View A&M at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome in a doubleheader being televised live by ESPNU. The Lady Hornets' game tips off at 3:30 p.m. followed by the men's contest at 6 p.m.

The Lady Hornets enter Monday's tilt at 7-10 overall and 4-4 in SWAC action following an impressive 56-42 win over Texas Southern on Saturday night. The Lady Panthers (10-7, 7-1 SWAC) still sit atop the SWAC standings despite suffering their first conference loss of the year at Alabama A&M on Saturday.

On the men's side, ASU (9-10, 6-2 SWAC) looks to extend its current five-game winning streak. The Hornets have held their last four opponents under 70 points. Prairie View (10-9, 5-3 SWAC) has dropped two of their last three games including a 59-54 loss at Alabama A&M Saturday night.

The basketball doubleheader is part of the SWAC's television package and marks the first women's/men's doubleheader for the league on ESPNU this season. The Lady Hornets are making their first TV appearance this season while the Hornets will be playing their fourth televised contest.

Tickets for all ASU home games can be purchased at the Acadome ticket office. Both the men's and women's games will also be carried live on the radio on WVAS (90.7 FM).
