Freda Freeman-Jackson era Alabama State owns a 25-6 overall advantage.

ASU will enter tomorrow's game with a 7-7 overall record and 0-3 in conference play. The Lady Hornets fell in a 56-54 nail-biter to Southwestern Athletic Conference foe Mississippi Valley State Saturday night.

Danielle Gazaway led the Lady Hornets in scoring with 12 points the only other player in double digits was senior Junior
Nakiya Smith with 10. Alabama State was led on the boards by freshman
Brittney Wright with eight, while senior
Taila Arrington had seven rebounds and five assist. Smith leads the team in scoring averaging 10.1 points per game, while senior
Quentori Alford is contributing 9.6 points a game and is averaging 9.9 rebounds per game on the season.Â

UAPB comes into Monday night's match-up with a 1-11 overall record and are 0-2 in the SWAC, with their last game falling to Alabama A&M (87-63) Saturday night on the Hill. Christina Lasane led UAPB with 21 points against Alabama A&M and is second on the team in scoring for the Lady Lions averaging 9.7 points. Cassidy Wright leads the team in scoring averaging 10.0 points. Wright was the only other Lady Lion that scored double digits against Alabama A&M with 20.

"Although UAPB is a good team, but they aren't playing well right now either," said head coach
Freda Freeman-Jackson. "Although they have lost the last few games they are hungry for a conference win. That's why it's so important that we get off to a good start tomorrow, so that we can knock some of that momentum off in the beginning of the game and get the win."
