in ASU's winAlabama State University basketball player Maurice Strong has received two weekly honors based on his strong performance in the Hornets 80-55 win over Jacksonville State.Â
Strong received the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Player of the Week honor and received the
College Sports Madness SWAC Player of the Week.

The senior forward had 16 points on seven-of-11 shooting for the Hornets and grabbed eight rebounds. He also chipped in with an assist, blocked shot and steal.

For the season Strong averages 8.7 points and a team-high 6.5 rebounds per game. He is currently tied for second in the SWAC in rebounding and is 11
th in field goal percentage.

DeMarcus Robinson and
