Texas Southern 2, Alabama State 1 For six innings plus, Alabama State's
Chelsea King and Texas Southern's Jasmin Fulmore engaged in one of the best pitching duels in the SWAC all season.

In a game that featured plenty of hustle plays and an errorless game in the field, it came down to execution with runners in scoring position.
Texas Southern made one more play and it proved to be enough as the Lady Tigers squeaked past Alabama State 2-1 on a walk off RBI single from pinch hitter Kierra Patton that deflected off the gloves of two Lady Hornets.
ASU had their biggest opportunity in the seventh inning, but left the bases loaded without plating a run.
King (6-6) allowed two runs on six hits and struck out two. She only allowed one free pass.

Samantha Jimenez (6-4) earned the win after recording the last two outs.
