MONTGOMERY, Ala. | After last playing 12 days ago, Alabama State returns to action on the road Friday night against Miami at the Watsco Center.

Alabama State (1-7) looks to end a six-game losing streak which includes a loss in their last contest to 12th-ranked Tennessee (currently seventh) back on December 3. In that contest,
Mya Millner led the Lady Hornets with a career-high 17 points and five rebounds, while
Courtney Lee added 15 points on four three-pointers.
Shamyiah Smith leads the Alabama State with 7.3 points and 3.1 assists per game, while preseason all-conference selection
Tatyana Calhoun leads Alabama State with 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.

Meanwhile, Miami (6-3) played their sixth consecutive home game on Sunday, defeating #20 Kentucky 65-54, and will continue that streak against Alabama State Friday night. Mykea Gray leads the 'Canes at 14.3 points per game, while Erykah Davenport averages 11.0 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.
