MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State will start the new month hosting the University of Mobile at Dunn-Oliver Acadome. Tip is set for 3 pm in the non-conference matchup.
Alabama State (0-5) is coming off a 116-46 loss to Troy Thursday night, and is looking for their first win of the season at home as they face the Rams.
Jayla Crawford led Alabama State with 12 points for the second consecutive game, while
Ayana Emmanuel added 11 and Shmya Ward chipped in 10.
Emmanuel leads the Lady Hornets in points and rebounds, averaging 12.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Meanwhile,
Crawford averages 9.4 points per game and Ward 4.0 rebounds.
Mobile (3-4) enters the contest after defeating Martin Methodist 71-51 on Thursday night.
The two teams met last season with Alabama State claiming a 61-50 victory, a game in which Alabama State caused 22 Rams turnovers and collected a team high 53 rebounds in the victory.
The game can be heard on the Hornets Sports Network, with pregame starting at 2:45 pm.
