MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State and Jackson State will tip off Thursday evening at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) contest, dubbed as "TBT / 90s Night" inside the arena.

Alabama State (8-19, 6-10 SWAC) enters the contest having lost their last two SWAC contests on the road, dropping their last game to Texas Southern 76-48 Monday night. The Lady Hornets were led by
Shamyiah Smith with 14 points in that contest.
Tatyana Calhoun leads Alabama State in scoring, averaging 12.7 points per game. She also leads the conference in field goal percentages at 62.2 (102-for-164) percent for the season and leads her team with 6.3 rebounds per game.
Kayla Stephens averages 7.3 points per game, while
Shamyiah Smith is seventh in the conference in assists, averaging 3.2 per contest. As a team, Alabama State is second in the conference in field goal percentage (.429).

Meanwhile, Jackson State (13-12, 8-8 SWAC) is led by Christina Ellis at 13.2 points per game. The Tigers are coming off a 66-60 loss to Arkansas Pine-Bluff Monday night in which Derica Wiggins and Ellis each scored 13 points in the loss.

The game tips at 5:30 pm and will be carried on the Hornet Sports Network. Any patron bringing two canned goods will be granted free admission.
