MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State fell to Jackson State, 69-50 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) action Thursday night inside the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
Keimeshia Walker led Alabama State (8-20, 6-11 SWAC) with 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the floor, while
Kenya Pye and
Courtney Lee each chipped in with eight points in the loss.
Victoria Harvey finished with a career-high 14 rebounds.

The Lady Hornets finished the night shooting 28.3 (15-of-53) percent from the floor. They also finished the night shooting 18.2 (2-of-11) percent from beyond the arc, and 60 (18-of-30) percent from the free throw line.

Meanwhile, Marneisha Hamer led Jackson State (14-12, 9-8 SWAC) with 17 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the floor. She paced two other players in double figures as Christina Ellis added 13 and D'Asia Mitchell added 11 points in the win.

Jackson State shot 36.7 (22-of-60) percent from the floor and 40 (4-of-10) percent from beyond the arc. They also shot 72.4 (21-of-29) percent from the free throw line.

Alabama State returns to action Saturday at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome against Grambling State. Tip is set for 3:00 pm with pregame on the Hornet Sports Network beginning at 2:45 pm.
