MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State opens Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on Saturday evening when Grambling State comes to town. Tip is scheduled for 3 pm inside of Dunn-Oliver Acadome, and the game can be heard on the Hornet Sports Network with pregame beginning 15 minutes prior to tip.

• The Lady Hornets are looking to bounce back after falling 80-53 at Auburn on December 29

• The Lady Tigers wrapped up their non-conference schedule with an 86-40 loss on Dec. 30   against Oklahoma State
• Shakyla Hill leads the Lady Tigers and SWAC in scoring at 15.9 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while Jazmin Boyd is at 11.4
• The Lady Tigers are third in the conference in steals (10.5)
• Hill was named SWAC Player of the Week for the second consecutive time this season after nearly recording her second quadruple-double of her career
