MADISON, Wisc. | Alabama State returns to action for the first time since Friday, hitting the road to face Big 10 foe Wisconsin Thursday night with tip set for 7 pm.
Alabama State (3-4) fell to South Florida in their last game and are in search of their first road victory of the season after a tough stretch of games away from the Dunn-Oliver Acadome. So far this season, the Lady Hornets have face No. 8/10 South Carolina, Clemson and South Florida on the road through the first seven games.
Ayana Emmanuel and
Aniyah Smith lead Alabama State in scoring at 11.3 points per game, while Smith has grabbed 7.7 rebounds per game. The freshman is also shooting 42.6 (26-of-61) percent from the floor this season, while Emmanuel is shooting 42.3 (11-of-26) percent from beyond the arc.
Jayla Crawford is averaging 8.4 points per game, while also dishing out 1.1 assists per game, while
Courtney Lee is dishing out assists at an average of 4.0 per game.

#Scouting Wisconsin
Wisconsin enters the game after a one-point victory, 64-63, over North Dakota State (December 8) - their fourth consecutive game away from home.
Senior Kendra Van Leeuwen's one assist against Georgia Tech gave her outright 10th place in the record book for career assists. She now has 366.
Last season, Wisconsin wrapped up its most successful seasons in nearly a decade, finishing the season with a 15-18 mark, the most wins since 2010-11. The Badgers also went 4-14 in Big Ten play, surpassing their B1G win total from the last three seasons and winning four conference games for the first time since 2014-15.
