Montgomery, Ala. –  Alabama State will hit the road for three consecutive games beginning on Friday when the Lady Hornets travel to Tampa, Fla. to face South Florida at 4:30 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on USF's YouTube.

In their last contest, the Lady Hornets struggled in the middle quarters and dropped their first home contest of the season to Samford, 83-48 on Sunday afternoon in the Dunn-Oliver Acadome. With the loss Alabama State moved to 3-3 on the season.

Hannah White led the offense with 13 points alongside a career-high tying three steals, a career-high tying two assists and one rebound. Freshman
Aniyah Smith added eight points and eight boards.

On the season, sophomore
Ayana Emmanuel paces the team dropping 12.5 points per game with an efficient 50.0 three-point percentage (10-of-20). Smith follows closely behind putting up 12.3 points with a team-high 7.7 rebounds. Junior
Courtney Lee leads the way with 20 total assists averaging 4.0 per contest.Â

Scouting the Bulls
South Florida is coming off a 67-51 loss to Notre Dame in its final game of the 2019 Cancun Challenge on Nov. 30. With the loss, the Bulls are currently on a three-game losing streak and are 0-1 on the road.

In the game, Elena Tsineke paced USF with 12 points and four rebounds while Shae Leverett nearly dropped a double double with 11 points on 4-of-6 (66.7 percent) from the field, nine rebounds, two assists and a block.

On the season, Tsineke leads the way averaging 12.0 points per game including shooting 84.6 percent (11-of-13) from the charity stripe. Bethy Mununga follows behind averaging a double double with 11.3 points per game on an efficient 55.0 percent (44-of-80) and a team-high 10.6 rebounds per game.
