MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State looks to get back in the win column when they host Texas Southern in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) matchup on Saturday.
Tip is set for 3 pm inside Dunn-Oliver Acadome, and can be heard on the Hornet Sports Network with the pregame show beginning prior to tip.
The Lady Hornets (10-15, 9-5 SWAC) split their last two games, defeating Alcorn State 70-58 on Saturday and falling 62-52 against Southern on Monday night.
Ayana Emmanuel and
Shmya Ward each recorded 25 points in the win, while
Jayla Crawford paced the way with 16 points in the loss.
Texas Southern (12-13, 8-6 SWAC) snapped a two-game losing streak by winning their last two contests against Arkansas Pine-Bluff and Mississippi Valley by double digits. With the wins, the Lady Tigers currently sit in a three-way tie for fifth place in the conference.
