Alabama State (8-20, 7-8 SWAC) ended a 13-game losing streak to Texas Southern earlier this season in Montgomery with a 79-55 victory over the Tigers. In that game, Alabama State had four players in double figures led by
Leon Daniels and
Tobi Ewuosho with 13 points each. That game was the second of a five-game winning streak by the Hornets at the time.

What to Watch For
Alabama State is currently in seventh place in the SWAC standings with three games remaining on the schedule against teams ahead of them in the standings. Alabama State has games against Texas Southern (Monday), Jackson State (Thursday) and Grambling State (Saturday) remaining on the schedule.
The Hornets sit one game back of Jackson State, who owns the tiebreaker currently, and is two games back of Grambling State for fifth place in the conference. Alabama State will need some help to get into a chance to vie for the fourth spot, as Alcorn State (9-7 SWAC) owns the tiebreaker over Alabama State.
Tobi Ewuosho continues to lead Alabama State in scoring at 12.9 points per game and in rebounding at 6.0 points per game. The senior is currently sitting at 774 career points, 432 career rebounds and 107 career assists. Meanwhile,
