MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State stayed undefeated in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play with a 5-0 victory over Mississippi Valley State at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Wednesday afternoon.

Alabama State (4-6, 3-0) ran a clean sheet over Mississippi Valley State, not dropping a game in the nine matches played. The Hornets won the doubles point with a pair of 6-0 victories at number one and three, while at number two they were leading 5-0 when it was halted.

In singles play, Alabama State won at number one, four, five and six by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores on the day.

Alabama State returns to action this weekend, hosting the SWAC Pod and will face Alcorn State Friday afternoon at 2 pm.
