ATHENS, Ga. | Alabama State (0-3) will return to play this weekend with a meeting against Georgia inside of Stegeman Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.
The game will be the third for the Hornets against Southeastern Conference competition and third game to be broadcasted on SEC Network.
Georgia leads the series 2-0, with wins in both 2008 and 2009, both in the Athens and the Stegeman Coliseum. The two coaches have never faced each other, as Georgia head coach Joni Taylor was hired in 2015.

- Alabama State is currently led by Preseason All-SWAC First Team honoree Ayana Emmanuel (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) with 13.3 points and four rebounds per game, followed by Second Team member Jayla Crawford (Birmingham, Ala.) who scores 10.3 per game.
- Sunday's game will be the fourth road game to start the 2021-22 season for the Hornets, who will host South Alabama in their home opener on November 28 at 1 pm.
- The two teams last met on November 25, 2009, where the Bulldogs defeated the Hornets 75-48.
