NASHVILLE, Tenn. |Â Alabama State will head north to Nashville for their final non-conference game of the season against Vanderbilt inside of Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday night, with a 7 pm tip time.

Alabama State (2-7) has only played the Commodores one time in program history, falling in Nashville by a score of 88-42 on November 22, 1991. Tuesday's contest will be the fourth game for the Hornets against Southeastern Conference opponents and on the SEC Network this season. It will also be their final game before starting conference play next week.

GAME NOTES
- Alabama State dropped an 88-42 contest in their only meeting with Vanderbilt in series history. The Hornets are coming off a loss to North Carolina, while the Commodores have won three consecutive games.
- Senior guard Tyesha Rudolph (Evergreen, Ala.) led the Hornets in their last game against North Carolina with a career-high 22 points, shooting 6-of-10 from the field along with grabbing five rebounds. Jayla Crawford (Birmingham, Ala.) finished with nine points, two rebounds and two assists on the afternoon, while Tamia Stallings (Brookhaven, Miss.) and Hannah White (Columbus, Miss.) added six points each in the loss.
- The Hornets currently have one player on their roster from the state of Tennessee in All-SWAC performer Shmya Ward (Memphis, Tenn.) who attended Whitehaven High School.
- Alabama State has started a different lineup in all nine games this season, with 13 different Hornets receiving a start so far and ten averaging at least 15 minutes per contest.
