@BamaStateMBB hosts Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M beginning Saturday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns to action this weekend in the final home stand of the season, hosting Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M beginning Saturday.

Both games will be carried by the Hornet Sports Network, beginning with Texas Southern at 4:30 pm Saturday afternoon.

Alabama State (4-10) looks to end a modest two-game losing streak, hosting the Tigers who win the first meeting of the year 80-73 in Houston back on January 30. Kevion Stewart led Alabama State in that game with 21 points, while Brandon Battle recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Battle leads Alabama State in scoring at 12.2 points per game and is averaging 7.4 rebounds per game, while Kenny Strawbridge is averaging 10.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game through 14 games this season.

The Hornets will then face Prairie View A&M Monday night at 8 pm on Senior Day.

Season ticket holders only will be admitted into the Dunn-Oliver Acadome during the weekend home stand, and Alabama State University and its athletic venues are mask mandatory.
