NEW ORLEANS, La. | Alabama State men's tennis fell in the final game of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament Championship to second seeded Alabama A&M 4-3 on Monday afternoon.
Alabama State (9-6, 5-0 SWAC) picked up the doubles point winning two of three sets following 6-4 wins at number three by
Juan Rodriguez and
Chris Andre as well as on number two from
Ruan Du Preez and
Assil Boussayri.
In singles competition, Alabama State won at court one with
Chris Andre winning in straight sets (6-2, 6-1) and on court three with a 6-0, 6-2 win from Boussayri, however the Bulldogs would respond and win the remaining four singles pairs to pick up the win.
