ABILENE, Texas | Jayla Crawford (29) and Cordasia Harris (21) recorded season-highs in points but Abilene Christian outlasted Alabama State 78-67 on Friday night (Dec. 2) inside Moody Coliseum. Despite the loss, Alabama State shot a season-high 45% from the floor and 31% from three.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
  • Ayana Emmanuel scored ASU's first four points as the Lady Hornets jumped out to an early 11-6 lead in the first quarter.
  • Samiya Steele drained a three-pointer and Ryin Tillis knocked down a jumper to give ASU a three-point lead (19-16) heading into the second frame.
  • Abilene Christian outscored Alabama State 22-10 in the second quarter to put the Wildcats out front 38-29 going into the intermission.
  • Jayla Crawford netted eight points in the third quarter but ACU's lead grew to 19 (64-45) heading into the final quarter.
  • Jayla Crawford finished with a game-high 29 points but the Lady Hornets fell to the Wildcats 78-67.
