MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State had four players in double figures as they rolled by LaGrange 90-69 in an exhibition contest at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome on Monday night.

Sean Smith led the way with a career-high 17 points on 50 (5-of-10) percent shooting from the floor, while also knocking down seven of his eight free throws in the win.
Isaiah Range, who missed the final eight games of the regular season last season after an injury, finished the night with 13 points.

Eric Coleman added 12 points and seven rebounds, while
TJ Madlock added 10.

Alabama State shot 48.5 (33-for-68) percent from the floor and 31.3 (10-for-32) percent from beyond the arc. Defensively, the Hornets forced 14 turnovers by LaGrange and blocked three shots. As a team, Alabama State dished out 14 assists led by
CJ Hines with four.

The Hornets led by as many as 26 points in the second half with 17:58 play and trailed for just 11 seconds in the exhibition. They held LaGrange to just 35.5 (22-for-62) percent shooting from the floor and 32.1 (9-for-28) percent from beyond the arc.
