TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Alabama State University women's basketball team fell 110-45 to the No. 22 Florida State Seminoles at Donald L. Tucker Center on Wednesday.
Kristian Jackson led the Hornets (0-10) with three points and four steals. Cordasia Harris also added eight points and Whitney Dunn helped out with six points.
Led by Camariyana Tavares' three offensive rebounds, Alabama State did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 17 boards that resulted in four second chance points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Alabama State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 34-9 at the end of the first quarter.
The Hornets continued to lose ground in the second quarter and faced a 60-18 halftime deficit.
Alabama State's deficit continued to grow after halftime, and the Hornets faced an 84-27 disadvantage heading to the fourth quarter. Alabama State's bench made the most of its minutes in the period, as non-starters totaled five of the team's nine third-quarter points.
Alabama State could not pull any closer in the fourth, losing by a final of 110-45. Alabama State took advantage of its opportunities in the post, scoring 10 of its 18 points in the paint.
