- Georgia State plated a run on an error in the first to take a 1-0 lead.
- A Leah Richardson had a two-RBI to give the Lady Hornets a 2-1 lead in the second.
- The Panthers tied the game 2-2, scoring thee tying run on an error.
- Jaycee Goodwin singled home what proved to be the game-winning run in the top of the eighth.
