VICKSBURG, Miss. | The Alabama State University women's tennis team earned a 4-0 SWAC win over Alcorn State on Saturday.
Alabama State improved to 7-2 in SWAC play and 7-8 overall on the season.
Doubles duo
Francesca Duca and
Lizaveta Demchenko gave Alabama State its first win of the day at No. 1. Followed by
Urska Velec and
Bea Acena claiming the doubles win at No. 2 to help the Lady Hornets carry a 1-0 lead into singles.
Sahra Bouchaala's win at No. 2 singles gave the Lady Hornets a 2-0 lead while
Bea Acena and Timonthee Leguad claimed wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles to seal the 4-0 win.
UP NEXT: Alabama State returns back home to compete against Spring Hill College on Tue., April 11 at 1 p.m. at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
