- The Rattlers scored three runs in the first and four in the second for an early 7-0 lead.
- A run scored on a Jane'a Mobley sac-fly while FAMU added a run on an error and a passed ball In the first.
- Amaiya Gainer highlighted the four-run second with a two-run double.
- Nya Morgan singled a run in the fourth to give FAMU an 8-0 lead.

- Bailey Greenlee (11-8) gave up six runs, one earned, on two hits with a strikout to take the loss for Alabama State.
- Lauryn Peppers (5-6) scattered two hits over 5.0 scoreless innings to earn the win for FAMU.
