MONTGOMERY, ALA. | The Alabama State women's tennis program fell to D-2 No.25 Columbus State (10-5) at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Saturday.
The Match
- Sahra Bouchaala led the Lady Hornets in singles play, recording the team's lone point with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Inma Ramon at No. 2
- Lizaveta Demchenko battled through two sets, falling to Mariana Ramirez 6-1, 6-4 at the top of the order
- CSU secured an early advantaged, capturing the doubles point with a 6-3 win on court one followed by a 6-1 victory on court two
- In singles, the Cougars captured a 6-3, 6-7 (4-6), 10-6 win on court five before taking a 6-3, 6-3 victory on court three
- CSU would clinch the match with a 6-4, 7-6 (6-4) victory on court six
