Hornets return home for pair of games, beginning with Bethune-Cookman on Saturday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns home in a three-way atop the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) standings with two key games this weekend at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
 
Alabama State (10-10, 5-2 SWAC) is tied with Grambling State and Southern at the top of the standings but will face a Bethune-Cookman (7-10, 4-3 SWAC) team that is just one game back on Saturday, Feb. 3, and enters after a loss to Alcorn State in its last game. They will also face Florida A&M who enters the week after knocking off Jackson State.
 
The game on Saturday tips at 2:35 p.m. and will be aired by HBCUGO.
 
TJ Madlock, the reigning SWAC Player of the Week, leads the Hornets in scoring after his 30-point outburst against Prairie View A&M last Saturday. He is averaging 15.8 points per game and is joined in double figures by Isaiah Range at 10.5 points and CJ Hines at 10.0 per game. Meanwhile, Ubong Okon leads the team in rebounds at 6.2 per game and has recorded 21 blocks.
