MACON, Ga. | Alabama State University men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 road decision to Mercer University on Saturday.
The loss snapped the Hornets' 11-match winning streak, falling to 11-2 overall.
Mercer carried a 1-0 lead into doubles after claiming wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions.
David J Grandinot at No. 1, Alexandre Verlaguet at No. 2, and Lun Obrul at No. 6 accounted for ASU's singles wins.
The Hornets return home to battle the University of North Alabama on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
