TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Alabama State University men's tennis drop a pair of matches to open the 2025 Spring schedule on Saturday at Florida State University Indoor Courts.

Alabama State dropped the morning match 4-1 to Sun Belt Conference member Georgia Southern University before falling to host Florida State 4-0 later in the afternoon.

David J Grandinot and Matteo Lataste won at No. 2 doubles and Lun Obrul and Gordan Fran Mileusni won at No. 3 doubles to help the Hornets take a 1-0 lead into singles.

The Eagles captured wins at the number one-three and at number six singles to earn the win.

In the afternoon match, Florida State captured wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to win the doubles point and then won at three-six singles positions to sweep the match.
