MONTGOMERY, Ala. |  Alabama State Univeristy forward Cordasia Harris was selected the SWAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week and the BOXTOROW National Player of the Week on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2024.

The Hayneville, Ala., native posted a pair of double-doubles to lead ASU to wins over Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Mississippi Valley State. Harris scored 19 points and had 13 rebounds against UAPB and totaled 28 points and 16 rebounds against MVSU.

Harris earned SWAC Impact Player of the Week honors the previous week after scoring 15 points and grabbing 14 rebounds along with a block and a steal against the Florida. The senior shot 62 percent from the floor r, making 5-of-8 shots on the day.  Harris scored in double figures for the sixth time this season against the Gators.
