MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Kesmat El Tawil win on court five clinched a 4-3 win over No. 12 the Univeristy of West Alabama on Saturday at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.

The doubles teams of Cleanne Pickel and Ena Arnautovi, Diana Craciun and Melisa Mekic and Tawil and Carmelle Vial captured wins to give the Lady Hornets a 1-0 lead heading into singles. 

West Alabama claimed wins at the top three singles positions before Pickel and Arnautovic evened the match with wins at No. 4 and nO. 6 singles. 

Tawil defeated Greta Zawels 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to clinch the win for the Lady Hornets.

Alabama State host the Univeristy of North Alabama on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Underwood Tennis Center.
