JACKSON, Miss. | Alabama State University women's tennis captured its third straight conference win with a 4-0 win over Alcorn State University on Saturday at the JSU Tennis Center. 

Melisa Mekic clinched the win with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Natalija Nikolic after Carmelle Vial and Ena Arnautovic won on courts three and six to give ASU 3-0 lead.

The Hornets won the doubles point with wins by Mecki and Diana Craciun at No. 2 and Vial and Kemat El Tawil at No. 3 doubles. 

Alabama State returns to action in the SWAC POD 2 against Bethune-Cookman at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center on Thursday, March 27, at 1 p.m.
