Madlock Signs With Pistons Summer League Team

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Former Alabama State University basketball player TJ Madlock has signed a professional contract with the NBA Summer League team of the Detroit Pistons. A two-time All-SWAC performer (2023-24, 2024-25), Madlock averaged 13.1 points per game during his career, while also averaging 5.9 rebounds, finishing his career with 1,676 points and 759 rebounds.

He started 127 of the 128 games he played and added 281 assists, 37 blocked shots and 174 steals over the course of his career.

He led the Hornets to the 2024-25 to the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament title and the conference's automatic berth in the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship.

He averaged 11 points and 5.5 rebounds in ASU's two NCAA Tournament outings, including 11 points and seven rebounds in the Hornets' 70-68 win over St. Francis University to help ASU win its first NCAA Tournament game in program history.
