HOOVER, Ala. | Alabama State University women's tennis dropped a 7-0 decision to UAB on Sunday at the Hoover Met Tennis Center as the Blazers swept both doubles play and all six singles courts.
UAB claimed the doubles point by winning all three matches, taking early control of the dual. The Blazers followed with straight-set victories on five singles courts and a hard-fought three-set win at No. 6 to complete the sweep.
Alabama State competed throughout the lineup, highlighted by a strong showing at No. 6 singles, where Jovana Petrovic forced a deciding super tiebreak after dropping the opening set.
The Hornets fell to 1-2 on the season, while UAB improved to 2-3 overall.
